The Blue Mile

The Blue Mile

Crunch have successfully implemented the brand identity and website for the blue mile. The UK’s newest mass-participation event is designed to engage people actively with our blue environment.

Two brand identities have been developed over 3 months including a corporate leading brand supported by an illustrative sub brand that will be used across all marketing devices. Crunch also implemented the design and production of the website which links through to display all the blue mile twitter feeds, youtube video, flickr photo’s and latest news.

In addition to this work crunch also worked closely with the blue mile team to develop display graphics for the launch event held at the Mayflower steps on Plymouth’s Barbican. Indoor exhibition graphics were designed and produced for the official launch, whilst a large format graphic arch was produced for the official media launch which was attended by Beijing windsurfing Olympic medallist Bryony Shaw, 2009 Vendée Globe yachtswoman Sam Davies and freediving world record holder Sara Campbell.

Through a series of visuals and design development and whilst working closely with the petabytes team, crunch evolved the brand identity into a finished logo that reflects strength and order through the boxes of the brand connected by paths to the petabytes typography.
